The hippest holiday party in town. This December a NoHo theatre landmark hosts a celebration sure to put a new face on an old classic. (Actually, 8 new faces.) The Gene Frankel Theatre is combining the artistic visions of 8 separate NYC performance groupsto bring you DICKENS' A CHRISTMAS CAROL like never before.

Artists from every discipline, Dancers, Filmmakers, Thespians, Improv artists (and more!) each perform their favorite chapter from DICKENS' A CHRISTMAS CAROL in
their own unique styles. The chapters will be presented chronologically bringing the
timeless tale to eclectic life. That's 8 Scrooges on a single stage, and the festivities don't
stop between the acts. Host Janie Martinez keeps the patrons entertained with party-
games and other elfish surprises along the way.

Refreshments will be served and patrons can mix and mingle with this smorgasbord of
NYC talent. Those of us unable (or unwilling) to travel out of the city over the holidays
can now celebrate the season in the heart of the village with our other family- our family
of artists. This unconventional, artistic Holiday Happening conceptualized by Jerrod
Bogard is a must-attend for any lover of the off-off Broadway theatre arts. Set design by
visual artist and Artistic Director, Gail Thacker. Rich old misers encouraged to attend.

Artists scheduled to participate are:

  • Rash Behaviour - the improv comedy group headed by Kenny Wade Marshall,
and alumni performers at Caroline's on Broadway. (www.rashbehaviour.com)

  • Damon Pooser - Actor/writer/director seen on Law and Order and a student of Gene Frankel.

  • Wide Eyed Productions - Recently heralded by nytheatre.com for their mesmerizing Medea.

  • Brian Bernhard - Creator/Director of the acclaimed television show "Art of Something
Like It" sneaks an original short film into the mix. (www.artorsomethinglikeit.com)

  • An Audience of Two - Surreal sketch comedy. (www.audienceoftwo.com)

  • Aubrey Snowden Dance - HipHop and Modern.

  • Matt Pepitone from the band The Switch
